BUSINESS TERMS:

PAYMENT: All new clients pay 25% in advance, (if the job is worth more than 250E). 

We then invoice at interim, (50% stage payment), then, final invoice on completion. 

Once a track record has been reached, we can extend credit terms.  

 

A) LEGAL - Circulation rights – ‘standard use’

Once you have paid for your audio, you are free to use our audio for the following purposes:

Use on a company website to promote the services of your company

Explainer videos, e-learning videos/audio

Tutorials for education

Information films, aimed at helping ‘small’ firms and producers

Culture/Visitor attraction sites, or tour guides etc.

ADR or dubbing for companies (i.e. from Italian to English)

IVR messaging

Characters for video games.

 

A-2) LEGAL - Circulation rights – ‘use on public broadcast media’

If you use any of our audio on ANY public broadcast media which includes:

Television (satellite or terrestrial)

Broadcast radio

Streaming services/channels

Films (in public cinemas)

Documentaries intended for TV, or streaming channels

You-Tube pre-rolls, advertising campaigns, or commercials on the internet

These fall within a separate pricing policy, and are charged extra.

 

If you intend running a PPC (Pay per click) campaign, we do charge a small one-off fee.

 

We do not charge additional broadcast licence fees for genuine charity films, where appeals for funds are being made to the public, on behalf of a non-profit making bonafide charity.

 

If you initially, use ‘standard use’ audio and you later intend changing it for circulation on ‘public broadcast media’ (as in, any of the examples listed above) you must contact us immediately, as your usage rights will have changed, and new fees will apply.

 

 

B) LEGAL - Music copyrights:

We only use fully licensed copyright music in audio tracks, to protect composers and musicians. If you choose your own music, (or sound effects) we can use the material as part of your project, but it is up to you to make sure you provide us with legally useable audio tracks.

 

 

 

 

C) Non-disclosure, (NDA) or privacy agreements

Where required, we are happy to agree to NDA’s (subject to review of course) or other such privacy agreements. We expect the company/organisation asking for such legal agreements to provide their own documents for us to review and sign.

 

D) Reviewing your audio:

We do allow a 7 day period for feedback comments for all audio delivered. Please inform us of any feedback, comments, or changes within this timeframe. After the 7 days, we invoice you for the work. If you require a longer review period, please let us know.

 

E) Revisions/changes to audio - charges:

If we have made a mistake in your audio, then we’ll correct it free of charge.

If you subsequently change/modify the script (from the agreed script), then it’s a chargeable revision.

 

F) Scripts:

All scripts to be sent via e-mail on word.doc Not PDF. Text must be a clean typeface, ideally size 12 font, and "ready to read". 

We prefer NOT to use side-panel notes, any direction should be indicated at the top of the page. 

Any specific pronunciations can be sent via MP3, or a link to an internet page.

Please advise if you require a signed NDA (Non disclosure agreement), before proceeding.

 

G) Delivery:

Files are delivered in WAV or MP3 via a secure Dropbox server with encryption to 256 bit AES standard. 

You do not need a password to download files.

 

H) Privacy and GDPR rules

We may, from time to time, use our vocal work as part of a showcase/showreel for marketing purposes.

 

We never publish, sensitive data, scripts, audio, or company information that has been entrusted to us in the strictest of confidence, for the above purpose. Your data is treated with the utmost security.

 

Audio files are deleted from our Dropbox Cloud server after 12 months, which we feel is a reasonable amount of time to change, or modify previous work. We may keep audio files longer, if we feel its necessary to:

1. Store the original RAW file, so as long term modifications can be made

2. The job clearly extends over 12 months, and original files are required to carry out modifications.

Audio files are stored on Dropbox using servers with encryption to 256 bit AES standard, and we always use 2-factor authentication.

 

 

 

 

H2) Privacy GDPR and highly sensitive/confidential work

If your project is Grade 1 highly sensitive, and you are concerned about security, we can exchange e-mails in ‘confidential mode’ using Proton in Switzerland, who offer the highest possible confidentiality, and end to end client security.

Please ask for details, there is no charge for this service.

 

H3) GDPR – and privacy rules for clients outside the EU

We comply with all countries privacy rules automatically, by adopting the practices of the EU GDPR legislation, which are the most stringent in the world.
